SoCal mesh.com

SoCal mesh is a disaster communications platform, oriented to carrying traffic and supporting text based messaging for first responders in the Southern California area, particularly Los Angeles, Orange, and western parts of Riverside and San Bernardino counties.

We operate as an “Open Mesh” and encourage others to use our infrastructure for their own communication, and configure their equipment to extend our own mesh.

Unlike other meshes, we discourage the use of the default (0 channel) for anything other than status messages, if you wish to communicate directly with us, please view the Channels Page for information. In the interim, we encourage you to create your own channels and use those.

In the future, we will be adding 433mhz nodes for use by Amateur Radio operators (in compliance with FCC part 97 rules), as well as LoRa/Meshtastic capable BBS systems.
